So I keep seeing those game tap commercials and I was wondering dose anyone here play it?  Is the game play any good?  The site allegedly has over 500 games ranging from the 70's till today is there a wide variety of SNK and Atari games or is it all Sega and Nintendo arcade games?  What about fighting games is there away to play against other people over the internet or can you only play with yourself  :o ?  Any info about this site would be helpful.
 
Not worth it. I have friends who have tried the trials. I mean, if you have 20 bucks just LAYING around begging to be spent, then it might be worth it, otherwise don't make financial cuts just to play rewarmed games that we've all seen 2 million times. The 'good' games on the commercials are the only good games on the site.

it's actually $10 a month. Where did you get $20 a month?

The game quality is superb, but the downside is if you have a slow PC or not a decent video card or decent ram, it'll run sluggish at all times. Plus you get to play games that never got a faithful console port, like "Revenge of Death Adder" the TRUE sequel to Golden Axe.

It's not too bad, the emulation performance is pretty nice. However, no Mario, Zelda and major mascot titles...but a nice arcade selection of many titles

Well the reason I asked about gametap.com is because I love old 2D fighting games from mid/late 90's. The main games I was wondering were on the site were Primal Rage, King Of Fighters 94, Samurai showdown 2, and Killer instint gold. I know that I can go online and find a neo geo emulator and play KOF 94 or SS 2, or wait till the wii and get Primal rage or KI for the SNES on it but I was hoping that gametap might have these titles so I don't have to wait as long.
