This man, this pioneer. Is the father of the Role-Playing Game. His ideas, visions, and gameplay rules are used on a daily basis. Not just in D&D Form, but in every single video game that is classified as an RPG.

One man created an empire, but brought together people. Made Children's imaginations come to life for over 30 years.

To do that, is beyond human by far. Yet he was a simple man, a man with a vision of a game. Yet to create such a vast world among billions, is enough to give this guy a "Most Influential Man" award.

He will surely be missed. Yet extreme respect for this individual.

he was my idol u_u i should be thankful that i play fire emblem, final fantasy, dragon quest, tales of... and other RPGs thanks to him

:'( All my dice shall roll in honor of this great man. I'll be rolling my first d20 this Sunday. It's very very worn. Might bring my 1st Ed DMG as well.

My roommate seemed to care. I told him RPG's were lame, he tried to kill me. Later that day I was doing research for an essay on dragons, which my roommate noticed, turns out a lot of D&D names and attributes and all that are heavily rooted in actual mythology, making it much cooler than I ever gave it credit for.

While I may not personally feel much remorse for someone I didn't know existed until he died, I get the feeling the realms of imagination on this earthly plain of reality are not quite as large as they once were.
