The Geometry Wars: Galaxies videogame allows players to blast-off on action-paced quests across the galaxy, defending solar systems one by one, defeating waves of alien enemies on new and classic Battle Grids.

For the first time ever, the Geometry Wars videogame will let players battle via hot seat, co-op, simultaneous and versus in multiplayer mode. Those that own both the Nintendo DS and Wii can link the game together using Wi-Fi to unlock bonus content. Elite players will be able to challenge the universe by posting high scores on the Wii’s online leader board.

The Geometry Wars: Galaxies videogame also includes the full version of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, winner of IGN’s 2005 Best XBLA Title of The Year.

Here's another link too, just in case you wanted a tad bit more information. :)

Bizarre hand it over to Nintendo.

Flicking through the latest Nintendo Power magazine will reveal, as GoNintendo have reported, a rendition of Bizarre Creations' Xbox Live Arcade title 'Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved' will be making its way to the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.

Kuju Entertainment, the developer behind Battalion Wars, is said to be handling the re-issue titled 'Geometry Wars: Galaxies' and is presumed to make use of the Nintendo Wii's motion controls and Nintendo DS' Stylus - but official details are yet to be confirmed.

The game will, however, include a multiplayer and single player mode and also the 'retro' and 'evolved' modes from the 360 version.

Update (25th May 2007)
Sierra Entertainment have announced today that Geometry Wars: Galaxies will be making its way to the Nintendo DS and Wii, making use of the controls on each respective Nintendo system.

Gamers can use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller or DS touch screen to execute hotshot moves as well as battle via hot seat, co-op, simultaneous and versus options in multiplayer mode.

Those that own both the Nintendo DS and Wii can link the game together using Wi-Fi to unlock bonus content, and elite players will be able to show off their skills by posting high scores on the Wii’s online leader board.

Looks pretty sweet though IMO it would be kinda a waste of my monies :/ just play the 360 version prob looks better anyways.... Just an opinion

*heavenly choir* Awesome game. The original, plus the mission one? Epic. Upgrading your drone is awesome. Getting a 150x bonus is just cool, since your score skyrockets. Customizable controls. Screen preferences. And it's challenging. I'm trying to find something wrong with the game and I can't.
