Seems like EBgames dropped their support for GMR.... not sure on XBN yet... but both have been dropped:

Summary: Two Ziff-Davis Media publications bite the dust. A sad thing to happen, especially right before the holidays...

Full: Recently it was confirmed that Ziff-Davis Media was canceling two of its publications. GMR, the multi-platform magazine formed (presumably as a counter to the GameStop/Game Informer alliance) with EB Games help is being dropped because the retail giant is withdrawing its support. Xbox Nation (XBN) is also being canceled for as yet unknown reasons.

"As of the February issue, GMR is being discontinued," posted GMR Editor Andrew "Skip" Pfister on the official GMR message boards. "Subscribers will be the only ones to receive the February issue, and all subscribers will have the option to switch over to another Ziff mag."

He went on to say that Resident Evil 4 will receive a 10/10 from GMR, sure to be of some small condolence to Resident Evil fans. While the world waits for an official comment from Ziff-Davis Media, the former employees have the condolences of the print and online gaming media.

doesn't effect me... I didn't have either of them... but I know it does effect some of you.

What's really sad is that GMR and XBN were Ziff Davis' best magazines, IMO. Luckily my subscription to GMR was running out anyway, so I won't be forced to put it towards something crappy like EGM or the Official Playstation Magazine. I'm not sure how much I had left for my XBN subscription though...I did that one only a few months ago. I'll probably end up putting that towards EGM and then when my EGM subscription runs out I won't renew it.
 
"crappy like EGM" :? I thought you liked EGM? I find it pretty good, a little overly sex orientated but still pretty good articles an such.
 
EGM is too mainstream. Most of their reviews are ok though. I just don't like their extreme focus on online gaming, which is something I didn't have a problem with in GMR.

it gets to the point of.... ok, I am married. I know what its like... I have 2 kids...
Just give me something normal.

I just looked at my card, and realize that I'm running out in February anyway, so it won't be that big of a deal. Only thing is, what should I get now?

It was only like 10-20 bucks for the yearly subscription. Maybe I should put that towards Xbox Live...?

get live.... or get battlefield to play with Pliknon and I (if you don't have it).

I'll play Battlefield anytime you guys want (well, within reason :lol)

As for the GC, I'd have to buy that w/out my parents knowing.  They hate when I want new systems, because they claim that I'll then want the next best thing (exceptionally true of course :D)
