Katamari Damacy Goes to DS?
Nintendo Power reveals the quirky game's heading to the dual screen handheld.

March 21, 2005 - In the latest issue of Nintendo Power, the publication lists Katamari Damacy among the "announced" titles for the Nintendo DS handheld, a game based on the immensely quirky and popular 2004 PlayStation 2 release.


We contacted Namco regarding the possibility of Katamari Damacy for the DS. According to company representatives, "At this point we haven't made any official announcements on future developments for this franchise."
As more details on this possible Nintendo DS title are made available, we'll keep you posted.

Now... if you see... it hasn't been officially announced, but Nintendo power stated... so we'll have to see :)

I totally just realized what this game was!!! This is probably *the* most exciting DS news there is. I suggest everyone pick up this game.
 
The issue of Nintendo Power says that Katamari Damacy DS so far is announced only for release in Japan. But considering how quickly the PS2 version became a cult hit in the US, I'm sure the DS version will also come out here. Namco is supporting the DS pretty well.
