23. Lego Star Wars Complete Saga

Invalidates the WHOLE list. I'm sorry, nothing against LEGO Star Wars, but it shouldn't crack the top 100 best games of all time. Period.

Did you forget to mention, this is the EUROPEAN list? Taste in games always differs across the pond sir.

But doesnt it come from the Guiness Book of World Records?

Either way, I dont really like Mario Kart at 1 and Mario Galaxy being up there at all.

Oh that list. Yeah, I remember this topic now. I think we called shenanigans on it lol

Doom is not even on the list making it irrelevant right off the bat. There are a lot of good games on the list, but there are just too many good games for anyone to ever agree on a top 50.

Looking back at this. I remember when Tetris was number 1 for the longest time. Surprises me that Mario Kart jumped up.

I must admit,I'm surprised that "FF III" wasn't included. While I'm at it,what the hell kinda game is "The Orange Box"?

Peace.

It's a collection of games Valve released a couple years ago. It included Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episodes 1 and 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.

When I think of a list of the top 50 games of all time in a Guinness List, I'm thinking more of a list that impacted the industry as a whole. Games that changed everything. Games that set new standards. Games that were an influence to the gaming culture. A list like this should include a diverse mixture of Console and PC games.

There are so many games that really should not be on that list... ::)

These lists are typically full of fail and this one is no different. Let's see...No Shadow Of Colossus? One of the most epic games in gaming history? Fail. San Andreas at 16, above KOTOR? Fail. FF12 but no FFX? Major fail. Project Gotham Racing 4??? Um...utter fail. And the lack of Morrowind, Daggerfall, Doom, Deus Ex, or any other amazing PC games sends this list deeeeeeep into the depths of faildom...

Don't forget "Leisure Suit Larry" :D

No Kaz.....And I just realized it was Halo and not Halo 2 on there. Whatever they are smoking I want some of it!

GTA is on there, but GTA III is not?

Though Super Metroid is high on my list, it being above Symphony of the Night is not right... Granted, Super Metroid came out before SOTN, but SOTN was the epitomy of what a side scroller adventure could be. It had the amazing play control and expansive world borrowed from the Metroid series (along with the map system) along with experience and random item drop elements borrowed from role playing games. On top of that, the backstory, music, and graphics were top notch, slightly exceeding that of Super Metroid.

Oh, and extra fail for neither Warcraft II nor Starcraft being on the list.
