Guitar Hero III Virtuoso Pack Adds Guitar Heroes

apparently Guitar hero III is far from over.

"Okay, NOW they can call the game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. How did Activision get away with this for so long without including Joe Satriani and Steve Vai? We probably should have set the company on fire for this gross oversight, but it's too late now. In two days Satriani's "Surfing with the Alien" and Vai's "For the Love of God" will be joined by Buckethead's "Soothsayer" to create the Guitar Virtuoso Track Pack, barely giving us time to gather enough pitchforks and torches to form an angry mob. We always miss the good angry mob moments, don't we?

The Guitar Virtuoso Track Pack will be available July 24th via PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace. "

Surfing with the Alien, reason enough alone.

If you think about it though there are far too many good songs that aren't in GH or RB. No reason to get upset about it. Nor Led Zeppelin, no Mark Knopfler, Steve Miller, and so on. I could go on all day with songs that belong in GH which could replace some mediocre ones like Asia - Heat Of The Moment.

Zeppelin's in World Tour. And most of the time, it's a licensing thing.

I could as well, for anyone who gripes about certain songs not being in these games, should go gripe to the labels those artists are on because that is probably where the issue is. Rights to the music is the ONLY reason that these games started with covers rather than master tracks.

I am basically looking forward to seeing who else is jumping onto the bandwagon in the next year. The simultanious release for GH with Metallica is going to bring MANY new possibilities to the genre.
