Yeah, HALO 4 is based on a Halo novel and Gearbox Software is making it. It is probably going use the Halo: First Strike (between Halo 1 and 2) as a storyline.

Maybe you're right and I'm wrong, Halo Zero: Reach by Bungie Studios is based on the novel "Halo: The Fall of Reach" , a prequel to Halo Combat Evolved.

Maybe its Halo 4: First Strike by Gearbox Software and Halo Zero: Reach by Bungie Studios. Maybe they come within a year of each other to enhance sales near the beginning?
