Biggest question I get from friends from other countries, is why do Americans grill and BBQ on this very day?
As my father said to me, "Because there's not enough road kill to go around...we gotta grill something."
ACTUALLY the truth is, this tradition started after World War 2. Families getting together and cook-outs became trendy for this particular holiday in America. Since nobody can truly say no, to a delicious grilled burger or veggie burger for our vegan friends.
and yes, there will be cake..
