Re: Sorry Helena, you're being bought out by Square-Enix (Square wants Tecmo)

emmm why would Square-enix a company of RPG only games would want to buy tecmo?

*for those who read what i said before.....i just came from school and i was being paranoid XD*

Re: Sorry Helena, you're being bought out by Square-Enix (Square wants Tecmo)

That's kind of an odd thing for Square Enix.

Maybe they want to have a fighting franchise that's actually good? ;)

hey....ergheiz was pretty darn good XD.

True. If they kept the same fighting mechanics, though, they could probably improve the story at least. I mean I think DoA has an interesting story already, but maybe they'd be able to make it even better.

Update: Tecmo says No to Square-Enix, but Hello to "KOEI"

Tecmo, you are SUCH a tease....you and your big boobs!

Re: Helena (Tecmo) says no to Square-Enix, but maybe to KOEI

*slaps forehead* Koei???? do they really think koei is going to save them?

Re: Helena (Tecmo) says no to Square-Enix, but maybe to KOEI

I don't know... KOEI has been around a long time and has a decent following as well.

I know... I know... it's not the same as Square-Enix... but maybe KOEI has something that Square doesn't (and only Tecmo can see that).

Apparently Koei owns a lot of digital media manufacturing plants or some such. Most speculation around this merger says it was primarily based on means of production and distribution. In addition to that, Koei does a lot better in Japan than they do in NA. Tecmo, on the other hand, does much better in NA than in Japan. Square-enix games do well in both, so perhaps the intent was to avoid competition in the marketplace by keeping each developer's key titles region-oriented, to avoid similar release dates resulting in direct competition.

Possibly, anyway.
