Was it just me, or did this game come out of nowhere? Being a fan of flying games, and WWII, I was going to go rent a copy of Blazing Angels, but seeing as how it was out I had to pick something else. This game was also a new release (I think....?) and seemed to be the same kinda thing, so I picked it up. All I can say is, wow. It's by Ubisoft, so the quality in gameplay is there. The way they've managed to create the feel of flight is amazing. Dogfights are finally starting to feel dynamic, instead of two planes circling each other endlessly while they try to get behind each other. There's a plethora of planes, all upgradeable, and something like over 26 missions. Plus I think it's only $20 at Wal-mart, how can you lose?

Ok, before this starts to sound too much like a commercial, I must say, this game totally blew me away. Just the way everything feels is incredible. The controller rumbling when your plane is diving, the screen shaking as flak explodes all around you, the fear of stalling as you chase a Japanese Zero vertically in the air, it's all amazing. Plus the gameplay is mixed up based on the type of plane you have, and being in a dive bomber taking out a destroyer is truly an experience unto itself. This game is just ridiculously cool.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone else has played this, and what you all thought of it. For a flying game, it seems to really be top notch. It gives people everything they've come to expect while adding quite a few new elements to make the missions exciting and diverse. Great stuff.
