Hines' video game night.

The Freeman
As a graduation project, a friend and I are going to rent a building, charge people to get in, and play video games all night. We are going to donate all the money made to charity, and have tournaments and whatnot. There will be Halo, Madden, Guitar Hero, a PC section, and whatever else people want to bring. A video log will be made each hour to show progress and everything. Sound like a good project to do?

An actual charity or a made up "I need to buy stuff charity"?

Dude, that actually sounds like a good idea. Try an American Legion to rent. Also if you do this sometime after March tell me where it is. I could bring some people and PC's ^_^

Somewhere in Williamsport or Montoursville. Quite a ways from where you are, are you willing to come this far? Either way, you're definitly invited and so are all of your friends. Be prepared to pay like $5-$7 per person to get in, in order for charity.

$5 isnt that much when do you think ur gunna have it?

Also try these games for the LAN:
Quake III
Super Smash Bros. Melee or Brawl
Any fighting game preferably a DoA game
CoD4
Team Fortress 2
Counter Strike
I would say DDR only if u can get the Arcade Cabinet which no one in PA has.

those are some of the better LAN titles

As for PC players, they can play whatever they please. WoW, CoD4, anything they want. Console players will have Halo 2, Halo 3, Gears of War, CoD4, Madden, Guitar Hero, and whatever anyone else wants to bring.

Think you will want to come this far? It would be sweet if you did.

Hate to say it, but all your console games are online. So it'd be somewhat easy for them to start an online match with friends who are too selfish to pay the $5. Get some MK64 and Melee in there. Oh, Pikmin 2, too!

People around here are always up for a good video game night, it will be a good turnout, don't worry. As I said, any console games or any PC games people want to play, they play. Only rules will be:

1. No rough housing. This is for cancer, people.
2. No leaving, if you leave, you pay again to get back in. (Fr0dus, this really won't apply to you as you are an adult and so are your friends, if you decide to come)

Food and drinks will be provided.

Ive went from here to New York to Virginia and back for a Tourney. Staying in PA would be a nice change of pace for gaming.

Also you would want to also want to make a schedule for the gaming festivities not just everything out there. Orangization is key to these kind of things. How long is the event gunna take place? A all day/night thing or just a single night for a couple hours?

@Hines: Im 16 going on 17 dude XD

Oh, things will be organized. There will be times of free playing, times of tournaments, LAN tourneys (I prefer not to set those up myself, PC players can argue about that amongst themselves.)

It will be an overnight lock in, with chaperones and whatnot.

You're only 16 like me!? I always thought you were like.........24!!! WTH

Are you joking? He posts videos and pictures a ton. I could picture him as early 20's, I guess.

ok... just give the date, and I can see what I can do. If I get there early enough I can help set up the LAN set up.

Wait, I look older than 16 or something?

Yeah, that pic of you holding the Hobbit DVD made u look older I suppose.

I'm not sure of an exact date, yet.

Do you drive your own car, or something?

i would participate if i were not in the other side of the country XD... most of my videogames have multiplayer so it's sad that i can't help the people with cancer

I'm only a junior, but we can start whenever we want, might as well do it now and have an easy senior year. And yes, we are allowed to do it with a partner.
