Home breweries for gas!!

You ever hear bout people putting grease in their car? There's a guy in my city that puts grease from Mcdonald's and Burger King n such in his car to make it run. He has a special engine though.

Nothing wrong with it. Ten bucks says it's a deisel. Those things can burn just about anything.

But the system in question is set up like this. The engine starts and warms up using conventional deisel untill operating temperatures are achieved. Engine coolant is diverted to a heating element that warms up the used fryer oil. Then the driver hits a switch and presto!! Oil-burner is now chuggin' on some high cholestorol Crisco!! When you get ready to shut down the engine, you hit the switch again and it diverts back to deisel. Let it run for about two minutes and life is good.
 
While we're on the topic of gas...me and my family went out to the Pistons game 2 of the playoffs (cause we have playoff tickets for each game) and when we got out of the car...about 30 miles away from home...she locked the keys in the car while it was running...thank god some police know how to use a car jack.
 
People love their high octane fuels, however, with rising prices, I hope to see change soon...

Hopefully, Amercian car companies will offer alternative engines soon, more hybrid or bio-deisel engines...

BV, fats, when heated, become oils... Fat burns when oxidized and releases water + carbon dioxide... Ethanol works well too... Pretty much any easily oxidized organic molecule can be used as fuels, it's just a matter of converting an engine to burning it effectively...

But, until that happens, I have to suggest fuel injection cleaner... I used a bottle in my car last fill-up and have definitely noticed a difference in engine smoothness and gas mileage... Very worth the $6 it cost.

Actually, it's the value of hydrocarbins that make something worth burning in an engine.

It's not the auto industry's fault in being so limited on bio-deisel. Thank the Environmental Protection Agency for killing off the deisel in cars. In trucks they are legal because as of right now, trucks are exempt from the CAFE regulations. And they are also exempt from many other environmental tests.

As for alternative engines, I assume hybrids?? Well, the shortfall is showing it's self. The imptracticality is already being felt. That and the manufacturer's ability to make an absolutely ugly body style is also hurting. Personally, if I drive a 240 HP vehicle that can haul five people, tow a trailer and generally get loaded down if need be, and get 18-20 miles per gallon, I'd say that's better than a hybrid that puts out 90 HP and barely can haul three people. Even if it can get 50 miles per gallon. The efficiency goes out the window when practicality is added in the mix.

They could and have made hybrid engines that are as powerful as any currently out on the market, the problem is no one would be able to afford one.

This site has everything to make distilleries that produce 5 gallons per hour up to about 100 gallons per hour. I'm thinking of ordering the blueprints and book.

To make my truck run on 200 proof ethanol, I just need to buy like two gallons of gasoline per tank (my truck has two tanks). that means like $12 for a 50 gallon fill up!! My wife's van will consume about $6 of gasoline with a tank full of ethanol!!

Long live moonshine!!!  :woot
