haha.. dude this is freakin sweet. man. this sure does look cool. it looks like it might lean towards the cheesy side a lil though.. but maybe not.. wow.. this does look interesting

Well you would know all about being cheesy wouldn't you? Anyway, this sounds like another attempt by Sony to gain more revenue. Actually, no. I don't think that's going to make anybody say, "Yes! I'm going to dish out $599.99 for a PS3 so I can explore a 3-D environment!". At least for sane people.

Welcome back. Glad to have you here.

As for this HOME thing. Sounds like a novel idea for existing PS3 owners.

It's more than just that. From what I've heard, people will be able to play games like pool and bowling, as well as even putting music and video files up for other people to see. Not to mention it sounds like a great way to meet people from around the world and arrange times to play multi-player online with them.

Definately beats creating Mii's and putting them on parade. ::)

I definitely can't wait for Home, wish I was in the beta program.

Apparently some people modified a few .xml files and downloaded the client early, but it doesn't connect to the servers quite yet. I may try it, see what happens.

Pool's only good in real life, and odds are Wii Bowling > Home Bowling.

YouTube?

Friend list?

I didn't realize the 360 or Wii conveniently offered Youtube (as in not through a browser you have to launch), nor did I realize any of the other consoles allowed you to upload music and videos onto Youtube.

You don't need to meet people that are already on your friends list. He's saying Home is a good way of meeting up with people you don't already know.

No, it's just the exact same thing as YouTube from the sound of it, so I don't exactly see why it's that amazing.

It's the fact that you can have Youtube, integrated into a game console. That's never really been done before, not to mention the other features that come with Home that aren't on Youtube.

Isn't that what PC's are for, though? I dunno about you guys, but all I care about is playing games on my consoles! {And no, I'm not trying to stir crap up, that is my true opinion}.

I could care less about the youtube esc feature that they have. What I care about is the fact that with home you have other features that are coming to the PS3 when it hits.

I would agree with that (although extras are certainly welcome, for me). I was just trying to say that Home isn't just Youtube and a Friend's List.

I don't think anyone is going to buy a PS3 just for HOME, but for people who already have a PS3 or for people buying a PS3 for games it's getting, I'm sure HOME will be a nice little perk. :)
