How do i get my PS2 online to play other people?

First buy the broadband adapter unless you already have the slim PS2. Then, you can either get a router and plug your computer's ethernet cable into it..then buy another ethernet cable and have that going from your router to your PS2. I did mine the easy way. I simply took the ethernet cable out of the back of my computer and put it in the PS2 and presto! You're on.

Just like what Strubes stated, get a network adapter if you have an older model PS2, the slim verison PS2 should already come equipped with the adapter. Also, you could direct connect online by hooking up your broadband/narrowband connection to the PS2 and be online in a matter of minutes, just a few easy steps. You could also use a router which allows you to be online with your PC and PS2, but you must have broadband connection to do so. In the end when you finally get online its worth it and very addictive! You might even loose a couple of days of sleep. Lol.
 
I really should play more online games on my ps2. I used to play Madden and WE9 all the time.
 
When i had my slim line i had to take my tv and ps2 downstairs so i could connect the ethernet cable to my wireless router which was a pain. Can you just connect the ps2 to the computer with the ethernet cable then? Or do you have to have something like a Linksys wireless adaptor? I enjoyed playing fifa online, very fun.
