How do you get your game on?

Dray

If only L.A.I.R didn't suck
So since this is a video game forum, everyone here must be gamers right?

So what's your favorite system or systems and favorite games?

I'm an xbox guy, I play alot of halo, halo 2, and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

I got a Nintendo DS, but whenever I take it out the PSP owners attack me

It's jealousy.  ;)

My all-time favorite game is (common knowledge here) Legend of Dragoon. I play it a lot even though it frustrates me most of the time.

Favorite systems?? I think I am a Nintendo fan even though I have nearly all the Sega systems.

the first system I ever had was Sega genesis, but I guess I uhhh Pokemon (come on you all played it) made me get into Nintendo
then when I got the N64, ocarina of time was just awesome

I have never in my life played a Pokemon game.

Well, on any casual day, I'll jus pop in a game in my PS2 or XBox n play till I find somethin to do.

On crappy days, like raining out, or gloomy, I'll do somethin called a double-game session (me n my friends made it up :lol)...I'll call a friend over..n he'll bring over his tv, and his PS2 or Xbox...then we chill..n play games...n we'll be sitting right next to eachother playing different games on different tvs...it's actually really fun. You guys talk, n don't have to worry bout keeping up with a second player or anything. :)

What, haven't played Pokemon, where were you in the ninety's?

Busy with cars and girls I guess. For part of the 90s I didn't play much when it came to videogmes. Mainly because I was never home.

I'd say 1st and foremost... I am a PC gamer. I started on PC games in '83-'84.... I started playing the Magnavox Oddyssey sometime after that. Yeah... I'm 26... I'm old :lol
But anyway, I own more pc games than I do for any of my other systems.

games I love to play (older favorites... some cannot be played on newer systems):
Sim City 2000, 3, and 4
Doom 1 & 2 (One of my favorite games EVER!)
Descent 1 and 2
hexen
Quake 2
Crusader: No Remorse and No Regret
Janes ATF
Diablo 1 and 2!!
Half-life / Counter strike

Games that I currently play:
Quake 4 (it's ok)
Guild Wars (I am not sure if I dig this game)
Diablo 2 (one of my favs)
Quake 2
Half Life 2 and Counterstrike Source
LOTR: Battle For Middleearth
battlefield 1942
battlefield 2
Starwars Battle front 1 and 2
and a lot more.

Now, after that, I am an Neo Geo & Nintendo gamer. I don't like Sony (as you probably know... or will find out :lol ).

:lol I was too... but somehow I got hooked into pokemon Red and Blue.... One Girlfriend (at the time.... now is my wife) ended up buying me Pokemon yellow :lol
GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS....
Isn't it hard to believe that the Game Boy Pocket was sold in '98 still?    Seems like things came along pretty far from then.  IT is getting hard to find a lot of older stuff these days.

26 is old?!? I turned 27 earlier this month!!

I forgot that my first videogame console/think/whatever was teh Comodore 64 that somehow showed up one day. I think it was a yard sale leftover and my mom managed to get it for free. It came with a HUGE stack of games too. The one I playe dthe most was some battleship type game where you floated around and blew up enemy ships, shot down aircraft and hunted submarines. I don't remember the name though...

after asking about every single one of my friends why they bought a PSP, they said for p.o.r.n. on the go. :lol so idk about the DS...can't you talk to people on it though? Oh, I'm an xbox360 guy

well, Nintendo dropped the ball by not coming out with mic chat for wifi games, hopefully they will
hmmm portable adult entertainment so that's why the PSP is so popular

:lol Ya I knew a guy that would literally watch that kinda stuff in the halls of my school. Even in class sometimes. He did it mostly as a joke of course, and man was it ever funny.

The N64 is probably my favorite console ever. I owned an NES but aside from SM3 I never got into it. When Sega Genesis came out with NHL95, then I was hooked on games. Ever since the the 64 is my favorite console of all time. Winback, OOT, and the Rogue Squadron games were the better part of my childhood and early adolescence (alright, later adolescence too, lol). I also used to rent games every weekend for that thing, I probably played more than half of the available 64 games...

PC gaming, although fun and intriguing at times, requires too much to keep up with. Newer generations are too expensive to really keep up with too, and handheld gaming to me just isn't practical.

I'm 23 and my very, very first gaming memories are somewhat vague since I must have been no older than 4-5. It was my dad and his nerdy friend playing Atari, that's my first real memory. But I'd say what got me hooked was NES with Super Mario/duck hunt and Tetris. I thought that gun for duck hunt was the coolest thing ever. I played and owned mostly all of the good NES games and I still have most of my original games and hardware. I layed off gaming at around 12 for a couple years due to girls and what not. When I was 14 or 15 I got the N64 with Mario, Zelda OOT, and Mario Kart. OOT blew my mind than and now and it's easily my favorite game ever, along with the N64 being my fav console of all time. The new stuff's good and all but face it, us old schoolers have a hard time finding that same magic we did way back when. That's why I appreciate stuff like the gameboy player and the newly released NES's; they let me go back in time without all the freezing/glitch issues of yesterday :)

Hm. I never once considered buying an Xbox. I have no negative feelings on the Xbox. Just never crossed my mind..
