How do you stop using the Gamecube games on the Wii?

I had a little trouble with this at 1st... because in the Gamecube mode on the Wii... you cannot use the Wii-mote. SO... I couldn't get it to stop.

So how do you do it without resetting?

No one knows? It must be something obvious. I hit the home button on the Wii controller... but in cube mode, the wii controller is disabled basically.

I've tried holding combinations of buttons on the cube controlller... especially ones that reset the Gamecube. I pull the disc out... it basically asks me to put the disc back in to resume the game. :lol

Read the manual? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but since I don't have one (yet) that would be my first action.
that's what I am saying... I checked the manual.. it shows how to use everything, but didn't state how to stop using the Gamecube games :lol w/out hitting reset..

the English section of the manual is not that many pages.... I'll check it again though...

Impossible.

When you load up a GCN title - it goes in to full on GCN mode. You must restart the Wii (manually) to get it to go back in to Wiimode.

weird... why don't they state that in the manual. I worked at it for about 30 min trying to figure out the friggin reset buttons to push :lol I thought FOR SURE it would be there.
... yeah... that's weird. You would think there SHOULD be a way to do that... They should have put something into that to reset back to the overall Wii system.

Oh well... at least you can play Gamecube games on the Wii :) you know though... I really wish I could play PSO *actually online* with the Wii.

Why the hell didn't you just try restarting the machine rather than spending half an hour reading the manual.... :- ::)

Because if there is a way of doing it how he would like, he wanted to know it.
exactly... sometimes resetting systems like that just isn't good on them (not with cartridges... but with the moving parts systems - CD's / readers..etc). I mean... if you were just to hold L, R, and Z for 5 seconds and it took you right back to the Wii homepage, that would have been the best IMO.

It makes sense why they did it this way, but somehow they should have had the Nintendo Gamecube & the Wii sections combined to operated with the Wii homepage as home.... maybe...

meh.. whatever. I can reset... you have to eject then reset though. If you hit reset only... it only resets the Gamecube game.

That sounds kinda annoying, but surely not annoying to the point where you dread playing cube games on it. Are there any graphical enhancements on the cube games? I loved em on the cube, so it doesn't really matter to me.
