I got a new job!

Finally the pain is over, I actually got a non-filler job! I'm now working somewhere known as Specialized System Integration programming. I get to repair their software and perform upgrades!

That sounds pretty awesome :) I just got a job as a waiter, how steryotypical of a college student, haha.

Good luck with that Hine.

Being a waiter isn't that bad. From what I've seen most people in college here just go into retail so it seems a little out of the norm.

I work as a golf cart washer / oddjob do'er at a golf cart / utility vehicle dealership.

$300 a week isn't bad. But working 50 hours a week, I could do without.

Congrats man! Start raking in that money! :D

I work at Little Caesars at the moment...then going to work at my friend's electric company making $20 an hour take home (after taxes and money to go towards my 401K)....he said if I stick with the business for 2 years (working 10 hours a day at the least, 5 days a week) ...my wage will go up to $36 an hour...then two years after that...after my apprenticeship is done, I'll be making $150 K to $250 K, depending on how much I want to work. I'll be putting up electrical poles...lol he says I just can't be afraid of heights. :D

Good stuff Pliknon. Man, I don't think I could ever go through a job hunt after being employed with the same company for the last ten years or so.

I actually got this very easily. Within the first 2 weeks I had 5 interviews and didn't even have time for the 5th since I had already gotten a position a few days before it. I've also had several people call after those calling wanting to interview.

It could be because this is a co-op, or whatever. It just doesn't seem that bad to me.

Congrats man. I've been job hopping for the last year or so, so I have an idea of how nice it would be to finally get a "real" job. Of course, much unlike Dart, it's hard for me to imagine working at the same place for more than a couple months. Usually after a few months at a job it just gets too boring and I have to move on to something else.

I am the same way. But my job lets me change stores every so often, so I get to work with new people, and handle different customers. Also, my day-to-day activities are so diverse that I rarely do the same thing over and over again.

I work with the police in chicago that is investigating a mob bosses drug buissiness
