I just played the Dragon Warrior 8 demo

Wow, simply wow. Even the demo is near 2 hours of gameplay lol

It retains the gameplay and feel of the original games. The voice acting is actually decent too. Pretty environments, the cel-shaded graphics fit in quite well.

And of course, the game doesn't stay "Daylight" all the time. The sun can set and everything.

To me, Dragon Warrior 8 is to Zelda Orcarina of Time. Since it's the first major leap into the 3D realm for Enix's classic series and I must say they did an amazing job by far. the soundtrack is gorgeous of course!

I may have to pick this up in November.

I picked up the demo as well and I really enjoy it. I'm a sucker for cel-shaded rpgs to begin with, but it also has an intriguing story line to go with it. If I wasn't already committed to several other games, I would probably pick it up. There's just too much stuff coming out this year.

holy crap.... a demo thats 2 hours?!

is it 2 hours of great play.... or is most of the time taken by dialogue.... or running from here to there?

the dialogue sucks up like 25-30mins...the rest is gameplay and exploring..a big cave too...even a boss fight!
