FYI:For all the smart as%#s in the forum, which is pretty much all of us,the classic response "I wish for more wishes"doesn't count. :)

For me it would be "Sony","Nintendo",and "Microsoft",creating games exclusively for me and to my exact specifications. :D

Peace,

A new Zelda that actually lives up to OOT and MM :-\

The ability to warp to some 12 year old Xbox Live n00b's house and punch him in the face.

Universal console is a bad idea... that's basically a monopoly, which means we would get crappy overpriced games.

Anyways, my wish would be for downloadable games to be cheaper.

I don't see how having an universal console would make games more overpriced or crappy than they already are.

I wish the role of the arcade would return.

That is, I wish there were places that had console rigs set up, and people went there to play video games and hang out. Or something like that.

There are many reasons why a universal console would not equal a monopolistic nightmare, but we are also speaking hypothetically here, so I don't think Frodus was trying to imply that his one wish for the games industry would be to flood the market with crappy overpriced games. He just wants the ability to play every game without spending thousands of dollars on multiple consoles.

Mmmm...Bring Sonic back to his roots. That's all.

A universal console has plenty of cons, however. For one, instead of it being fanboy wars over consoles, it would be over developers, which wouldn't solve anything. And if they released a universal console, it should have different models so the consumer could get what he/she wants out of it. If the console's too powerful and confusing, it may turn off the casual market. If it's too simple and caters to the casual audience, then it'll turn off the hardcore crowd.

There's some pros too. I think I made a blog bout this. I'll have to check.

If Sony didn't take out the original PS2 chip from the PS3. Seriously, nothing was wrong with it, why mess with it?

Of Cheap Women from the street? Honestly, it shouldn't effect the cost.

The chips do cost money to make. And since Sony was already in a rut, they were trying to find ways to reduce production cost. Plus, with a crap load of PS2's already out there already, most people who buy a PS3 already have a PS2 as well.

but some people wanted to sell their ps2's in order to get a ps3, that was my sister's case and she was lucky that she bought the ps3 before the chip was taken out.

Which brings me to my cost reduction point.

Understandable, but even when it did happen, not much of a price cut. So I say I hope that $100 price reduction happens this month.
