Story:

You play as a flute player named Capell that starts off in a prison. The guards mistake you as the great Liberater, Sigmund, that will one day destroy the Order of Chains that have the moon ensnared in chains. Capell is later rescued by Aya, a archer that serves Sigmund and she too mistakes you as him. After your escape, you finally meet Sigmund and makes you join his group to destroy the many chains that are through out the land. Capell has no choice but to join.

I like how the story keeps going from being serious to having some humor parts. Theres a good amount of cut scenes, meaning one every time you go in a door or take a turn around a hill.

Sound & Music:

The voice acting is normal. All english and no japanese-sounding accents. The music is mostly orchestra with a touch of old medievel times. Traveling through the plains hearing the beautiful orchestra just makes me feel good inside.

Gameplay:
Now to the key element of the game: real time fighting and RPG elements. First of all; you only need to push 2 buttons to fight, A button to do quick light attacks and the B button for strong attacks. If you hold the A or B buttons during a combo, you can unleash special attacks (not special as in big explosive final moves but more damage-moves). Chain your attacks and special moves for faster kills and more damage.

As for RPG elements; you level up as you fight. You can buy armor, weapons, ect... to improve your speed and attack at the villages you travel to. There is a total of 20 party members that join Capell so you will need to keep replacing your party member's weapons and armor to remain fast and strong.

You can also create iteams if the right materials are mixed in. A couple of bat wings can make you a salad that replemish your MP.

Overall:

I love real time RPGs. Fighting, leveling up, buying the latest weapons and armor.....thats all I want and this game delivers. This game has about maybe 21 hours of gameplay and ALSO has 2 discs. So as you progress through the first disc, you will have to change to the other. My only complain is that they could have gave more fighting gameplay. Just pushing 2 buttons can get boring at times but its still fun.

My Score & Grade:
Everything your looking for in a RPG so I'll give this....

8/10
