on top of that, they are talking about another animated film based on Earthworm Jim.

They did. They were quite a success in the 90's, actually, but they ran into financial troubles and kind of fell off the grid for awhile. Selling off the Fallout IP gave them enough money to open up again I guess.
 
I've always been a big earthworm jim fan so needless to say I am looking forward to this title, unless of course, it turns out to be crap.

Interplay certainly isn't what they once were so that may end up happening. Hopefully they will get a good developer behind this one though.
 
Actually Cherry, royality fees from the upcoming Fallout 3, thanks to Bethesda is making Interplay doing rather well, surprisingly.

They got quite a bit of money from selling off the Fallout IP (they aren't getting royalties anymore because they sold the rights to Bethesda), but they still don't have the money or resources they once had. At least they have enough money to have an actual office, though. :lol
