Is the Wii worth the money?

Dude, are those the games you got? No offense, but no wonder you hate the Wii. Those are horrible games. I'd hate my Wii too if that's the crap I was forced to play.

The only real must have games for the Wii that are out right now are Zelda, Rayman, and Wario. And if your kids like Wii Sports, they might also enjoy Super Swing Golf, which got rated 8 out of 10 from Game Informer and has been favorably compared to Hot Shots Golf.
 
i dont know what the big fuss over rayman is, its a shallow collection of minigames (lame ones at that). which is what warioware does, and it does much better.

They have a few other games, but those games absolutely sucked (luckily Wal-Mart let me return them all).  They love Metal Slug (they take after me with that Neo Stuff) and they love Wii Sports.  They seem mildly interested in Zelda, but remember they are only 6.  Also, they like Marvel Ultimate Alliance (which I sold today), but like the PS3 Version better than the Wii Version.  Also, I do not go by Game Informer or other magazines with their "agendas" on rating.  I go by other players instead.  I am thinking of getting Super Swing Golf for my neighbor and me to play.

It's mainly opinionated. I didn't buy Warioware cause I like the Rayman mini games better....n I think I'll jus wait for the next Rayman for my next party game.

You're probably best of buying virtual console games for now. It's much cheaper and a better array of (classic) games.

Yeah, and from the people I talked to Super Swing Golf is not that good and does not use the Wii Remote as well as it should.
 
strubes, I'm not exactly "mr. moneybags" over here. I can't afford to drop $400 on a game system. The wii is so reasonably priced I don't know who wouldn't buy it. 360 is cool, and if the 360 and PS3 were both $400 I'd buy the 360 (I'm one of those PS3 haters) but I still think the wii is a better buy. I understand what you mean with how you need a traditional game system as well, but for now my PS2 and xbox are doin me just fine.
 
Mr. MOneybags. That comment got to me. Hahah. :) Not to make fun of your predicament, but the second I read that statement I laughed objectively.
