Is the Xbox 360 the next Dreamcast?

And for those who are saying to themselves that the 360 won't fail like the Dreamcast, dont worry. The second page of the article shows why it won't fail.

Thats exactly what I thought. Maybe G&G can shed some light on it.

the n64 disk drive was an awesome idea... I have played it... (I had a few in stock a couple years ago... I couldn't buy it because I didn't have the money )
Very cool idea... I liked the fact that you had writeable disks because you could create tracks and a lot of other things. SUPPOSIVELY the URA Zelda (or Master Quest Zelda that was released on the cube as a special edition disc passed out with pre-orders for the Wind Waker) had custom creatable dungeons or something like that. Of course, this never made it to the cube version.

Sim City 64DD was pretty cool. You could zoom in and walk the streets

The PSX version of Sim City 2000 had an exclusive feature where you could "drive" around your town. With the right code, you do it with a helicopter as well.

Nah, the evidence is stacked too high. 10 bad Vs. 10 goods isn't enough to think this will be a Dreamcast wannabe Plus Xbox is a major success in the USA actually. While as during DC's time the famous term "Sega Sucks" was wide spread.

Yes Mircosoft sucks, but they know how to please the people, the fans, and the consumers.

Yet, my biggest concern is 2D support, none of these games announced are 2D.

Xbox gave us a fighter's paradise with Street Fighter, KOF, Samurai Shodown V (sometime this year), and many more.

With no current plans for more SNK fighters, will they continue? Is Capcom ever going to push out another 2D fighter?

Who knows, the future looks grand, but PS3 always steals the show.

I pretty much can get an idea how it will do over in Japan, because Japan is so friggin hateful towards American products.
