the system won't come with the cables necessary to carry an HDMI signal, or any high-definition signal, for that matter.

In other words, you gotta shell out more cash for that...
 
So that means that the total price for the PS3 (to work properly) is indeed closer to $1,000.

This is stupid. They won't include something that will enable the PS3 to work as it was intended.

Looks like I'll have the Xbox 360/Revolution combo. I'm done with Sony as far as game consoles are concerned...
 
Did I read that right?   The official is going to cost $99?!??!?!  ::D  For a FRIGGIN CABLE.

At least they said a cheaper $10 HDMI to HDMI cable could be had via Ebay and other sites since the PS3 will have standard HDMI output connections.

Man ive always liked sony and i never thought they were too bad with overpricing till now theyre just getting stupid with this ps3. Im getting sick of them
