I've caved in, and I think I may be getting a Cube in the next few days...

Well, it finally happened. I'm probably going to get myself a Cube either tonight, or sometime this weekend. I plan to get a used one, hopefully either Black or Platinum, for $60, and of course the largest memory card available (isn't it like 251 or something?)

The games I plan to get right away, or a bit later down the line:
Zelda Wind Waker
Zelda Collection (Includes original NES Zelda, NES Zelda 2: Link to the Past, and both N64 Zelda games)
Mario Sunshine
Luigi's Mansion
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles

I'd eventually like to get Baiten Kaitos, and Tales of Symphonia as well. I didn't see any used copies of these games, however, so I'll have to wait and see.

I guess I'll have to see what all memory cards they have, I'm not really knowledgable in the slightest about the Cube.

I'd also like to get Pikmin and Pikmin 2. Those games are always fun.

Well Recky you pretty much got the essentials covered. May I suggest RE4 and the RE1 remake? Excellent games imo. And also Super Smash Bros.

I played a bit of RE1 for PS1 back in the day, and never liked it. I also detested SSB for N64, as I'm not a fighter type, rather more of an RPG and FPS type.

I may have to add Mario Kart: Double Dash to the list of games I want as well.

Well, I got the Cube. And the games mentioned in the first post.

Haven't had time to hook it up and play yet, thanks to work, but I'm hoping to get a few hours into some of my games over the weekend.

Its actually about 20$ to pick up a 1019 block memory card I got about 25+ games right now, and still have 400-500 blocks to spare. Timesplitter 3, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, and The Sims: Bustin Out eat up alot of space anyway.

I thought Tales of Symphonia was better than Baten Kaitos, but both games are definitely worth owning. ToS is just a lot easier to get into, while BK starts pretty slow.

you are not dumb for liking that game... its great :)
welcome to the boards! :) We hope to see you around. Enjoy your stay!

Nova, where are the 1019 cards $20?

I sell them new around $27-28

@ recky... so what do you think? :)

To tell you the truth, the only gripe I have with the GC is the fact that I have to shell out $30 + tax + shipping for the hi-def cables from Nintendo. I play my consoles hooked up to my computer monitor, so they look really blurry when not connected through component cables (I could try taking pictures if that would help get my point across).

Other than that I'm loving my Cube and very glad that I bought it.

That sucks. Ive been wanting to get some for my GC but I dont feel like ordering them. I stick to just s-video for now.

Creepin, where'd you get the S-video cable, and who makes it?

I got it at radioshack. It's from Intec and it's actually an all-in-one s-video cable for the GC, PS2 and xbox. I got it for around $25 I think.

oh really?  I play mine on the pc through the AIW Pro 9700.... I guess due to that connector and S-video... its SLIGHTLY blurry... but not bad at all.

playing composite through the graphics card doesn't look well at all... but s-video is nice :)

Man... on a normal TV going from composite A/V to S-video shows a MASSSIVE difference in quality. IU couldn't believe how vibrant the colors were and how crisp the screen is. It had the most dramatic difference of ANY system I have but up to better cables (meaning from A/V to S/V). Even better than the Neo CD .... which before the Gamecube had the largest improvement.

btw... I have the OFFICIAL Nintendo S-video cable... its HARD to find... I paid $20-25 for it... but I am regretting even opening it :(
It was from the Super Nintendo era.... yes... new in packaging in the Super Nintendo style packaging.

@ Korecky... I have some cheaper S-video cables that work pretty well.... if you are interested :) $8 or something each.
