Kirby's Canvas Curse and Goldeneye for DS was released today

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
I know, because I opened the box at work lol They look so pretty ^_^ Too bad Im broke, but man I heard Kirby was reallllllly good

Got both..looked at the two...decided I felt like playing Kirby. Now imagine Yoshi's touch 'n go only like 10x better and that's kirby's canvas curse. There's all these cool abilities you can get from enemies..the way you beat enemies is different than touch 'n go, in a good way too..I hated running out of eggs. I've played through level one...and I liked it, and I had fun with the boss battle too. I played revenge of the sith a little today too. That's a severely underrated game. I'm almost done with it. Haven't gotten to goldeneye yet, will let you know what I think when I do.

Kirby's CC got a 90.3% average ratio on gamerankings.com, and only 12 sites have reviewed it so far. I think i'll be getting my DS sooner than planned.

Kirby: Canvas Curse rocks. The boss battles are great!

I haven't personally played Goldeneye, but one of my coworkers who loves fps games said the multiplayer on Goldeneye is really awesome. I'm probably going to check it out later.

Alright..playing goldeneye. My firt qualm, is that there's not really a tutorial level, but there's little question boxes you can hit that tell you how to play along the way...and you can still get hit while you're looking at those boxes! Secondly, the graphics are okay..but you can barely see the guys comin' at you cuz of the small screen..so the color scheme is annoying. The storyline's kinda dumb...and the worst of it all: the controls are so awkward. You have to use the stylus to turn, but at the same time, the left and right shoulder buttons both fire different weapons. So you have to stop moving to use those because you can't really aim without the stylus. Also, I looked at the training mission (first mission) and after you're already 14% done with campaign mode...so it's a really short game. The only saving grace is: there's no other shooters out right now, so I'm happy to play one. Hopefully Splinter Cell and Metroid Prime will be better.

Kirby is THE BEST KIRBY GAME EVER *drool* Well, except for Kirby Super Star but that's another story :o

Still there will always be a place in my heart for Kirby's Adventure.

Consider me a biased Kirby freak answering that question...

Well, graphically I'd say they both fare well for their genres. Kirby has great fun stylish graphics that are fit for the typical 2D scroller. Goldeneye has some great graphics as far as DS's capilities go.

But gameplay wise, I'd just have to hand it to Kirby (YAY FOR BIAS!). It's just... original. We've seen games like Goldeneye before, and it barely even uses the DS for what it can do touch-screen wise. As for kirby, well.. you don't use the buttons at all (save for pausing)! Everything is touch controlled, which is pretty awesome in my opinion. And the way it uses it within the game itself... *grabs DS and starts playing*

So gameplay wise it's all Kirby, but graphicswise it's pretty even for their genres.

AJ bought me a surprise, and he convinced me that it was the new Yoshi game for DS, I even read the review with him! Then when he said I could open it it was Kirby Canvas Curse! This game is seriously good :| It was the number 1 DS game that I wanted, and I couldnt find it anywhere in the shops here. It has THE BEST gameplay ever and its so unique, I definately recommend playing it to everyone :o
