Lately the Green Bar Indicator Is Slow,If I Use "Refresh" It's Fine.Why?

I don't get it.

The green bar that appears when you move from site to site.Mine has been slower than a 3 legged turtle lately.If I use "Refresh,it works.Using "Refresh" all time is a pain in the ass.
