Left 4 Dead

Left 4 Dead is an upcoming multiplayer co-operative survival horror game by Turtle Rock Studios and Valve Corporation (a collaboration that has previously produced Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, as well as maps and the official bot for Valve's Counter-Strike: Source). The expected release date for Left 4 Dead is Summer 2007.[1] The game has been built using Valve's Source engine.

The game was first revealed in the Christmas 2006 publication of PC Gamer UK with a six-page article describing a playthrough at Valve's headquarters.

Left 4 Dead is at the top of mine =) along with Possession and Resistance: Fall of man (Need to get a PS3 though :-\).

PC and 360 the PC version is coming out before the 360 one but i think both release dates are close together.

I think I read PC version is Q3 2007 the 360 version is Q4. I'll buy both anyways.

Well, you see, I will buy both because I will play it over Xbox Live with my friends and when they aren't on, the PC version. If they came out at the same time I would probably not buy both, but I can't wiat any longer than I have to for this game.

it looks pretty sweet from the images ;D is it like a survival horror fps or something?

Pretty much it forces you to work as a team though i read some where if you work alone your gonna die for shore.

The podcast is awesome the graphics and physics are looking amazing and the detail they put in to the Infected models is amazing I honestly didn't see one Infected that looked the same i can tell that the AI Director is going to make things very interesting like the part where the girl shot one infected that ran through a door then all of a sudden 20 or 30 infected just rushed in through the windows.

I love it how the Boomer looks when he explodes it looks really good as you can see from the video its not fun to get thrown up on other wise you get overwhelmed with Infected but if your a Boomer it would be awesome to throw up on some one go to a safe spot and watch while the Infected dig in to the victim. The Boomer used to look dull and not very fun to play but after seeing this video i think he would be tons of fun to play who wouldn't want to throw up on some one and make them the prime target of the swarms of Infected.

Didn't really get to see the Smoker all that much but you did get to see some one get hung by the smokers tongue and then go in bleed out mood and get kicked to death by Infected. I think that the Smoker will be good for surprises and it would put you on edge knowing at any moment and angle you could get choked to death by the Smokers 50ft tongue also the Smokers ability to blind the Survivors with smoke will deffintly create some intense moments for the survivors and some fun moments for the Infected.

The Hunter looks awesome i like the hoody look and the sharp claws.The hunter looks creepy and alot of fun to play the part in the video where that dude got taken down by a hunter and scratched to bits the Hunter will be a fun one to play if you want to scare the shit out of some one. The Hunter will probley be used as more of a stalker with the ability to jump very high and move very fast i think that role suits him.

The Tank well let me just say he is a massive mofo and i loved the part where he came charging through the door way and knocked 2 survivors off there feet and then continued to pound them to a pulp. The Tank looks like he is going to be a foe that is going to be intense to fight the Tank also has the ability to throw cars at survivors which i think is a one hit kill or puts you in bleed out mode straight away he also has the ability to rip chunks of concrete out of the ground and throw them at the survivors does alot of damage but doesn't put you in bleed out mode straight away. The Tank is going to be loads of fun to play and i really hope i get lots of chances to be him because he looks like he would be the most fun to play personly.

The Witch will be a VERY intense foe to fight if you piss her off that is but shes in her undies and a bra but dont let that fool you she hits hard one hit your dead hard that was so funny when those 2 dudes jumped out of the train and didn't notice the Witch and she took 2 survivors out in like a few seconds she only appears in normal and hard and she does look like the normal infected but you will find her on the ground making creepy sounds thats if you dont piss her off if you piss her off she will come running and screaming and apparently arms flailing about like a mad person.

I want to play the Biker more than any other character all characters have the same ability's and can use the same guns and can carry the same amount but the biker suits me more i think or i would like to play Zoey because i like sticking out of the crowed (shes the only girl survivor).

Now for those who dont know what Left 4 Dead is about a new form of Rabies has unleashed its self upon earth and doing so has turned almost every living being in to blood thirsty mindless killing machines (sort of like 28 days/weeks later) you play one of the 4 survivors who unluckily are immune to the virus so now they have to battle for there life against the 1000's of infected that roam the city the game aims a co-op play you have to work together you dont have a option if you dont woke together your dead so those of you who like personal glory and like being solo and dont really like working together with other people then i suggest you either learn to or dont bother geting this game.

I'm still somewhat confused about the mechanics of the game. Is it 4 people as infected vs 4 people as survivors with zombies running around, or purely one side survivor co-op?
