However, according to a PDF of an earlier version of the designer's session, the version "sent for speech approval rather than the version that I actually showed at GDC," according to Teasdale himself, LEGO Rock Band was planned to be announced prior to this year's Game Developers Conference. Teasdale's slides show that the game, rumored to be in development by LEGO video game development house Traveller's Tales, will hit in 2009.

The teen and tween geared game boasts some of these tunes: Blur's "Song 2", Carl Douglas' "Kung Fu Fighting", Europe's "The Final Countdown", Good Charlotte's "Boys and Girls" and Pink's "So What".

Haha, honestly, those songs aren't half bad. To be honest, I'm surprised Song 2 and Kung Fu Fighting haven't made their way to regular Rock Band yet.

Why all the disdain for this game?

I like Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, Rascal Flatts, Bon Jovi, and Counting Crows. Tad bit old school.
