Look out it's a noob, who needs some advice

Alright well this is my first post and to start off, I have a question. Recently I've wanted to get a game with a real story, something I will really get into not just play once and then never play it again wasting my well earned money. So two series came to mind, Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem. I've played neither before and would like an experienced gamers opinion.

PS: Hope these forums arn't full of idiots :P
 
Hmm. Go get FFVI Advance. I don't have a taste for any FF's lately, so get an older one. As for Fire Emblem, ehh, I can't even sit through the opening story without thinking, "Enough already." If you have one(and if you don't, do get one(by that, I mean 360)), get Halo 3(didn't see that coming). It's going to last another five years or so.
 
If you want a Final Fantsay may I suggest X or VII... maybe even I if you want to just get a grasp on things, not a very deep story tho
 
Well, this is posted in the Wii section, so are you meaning a Wii game that will be worth the money?

If that's the case, out of the Wii games that are already out, Twilight Princess, Resident Evil 4, and MP3 are good games.

Super Mario Galaxy and Fire Emblem aren't out yet but those will both be awesome.

If you mean in general for any system, Halo 3 has tons of replay value.

Lack of Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem releases on Wii makes me think general.
 
There were 3 posts while I was posting this so I hope I can get through this time. I'm wondering if there is a FF for the Wii in developmant. Because I know there is a Fire Emblem that is.
 
There are Final Fantasy games in development for the Wii, but they aren't numbered Final Fantasy games. They are more like spinoffs. One of them will actually be a downloadable game through WiiWare.
 
Not an actual game? Well that's kind've... weird. I may not but it then since I'm not really a big fan, as in I've never played before. May pick up FF advance.
 
if you want REALLY REALLY DEEP STORYLINES (and i mean tons and tons of text wich i don't have an issue because i read as lot XD) fire emblem (doesn't matter wich one in fact if you can buy them all)

if you want a final fantasy well it depends what kind of story
FF III-X have good story no doubt of this (im just to lazy to cover them XD and XI is not worth mentioning)
FFXII has a very different story, is more of a political intrigue kind (although is the longest and most addictive final fantasy i ever played but i know a LOT of people disagree with me)

You can still post even if people have posted while you were writing. It just gives you a warning so that you can read the other posts and see if you want to address them.
 
Wasn't it FFV? Either way the only game supplier where I am is a crappy Wal-Mart, but I'm gonna be in New Jersey this weekend and theres a mall there. So I kind've need a decision before then. I'll probably buy one of each. BUt i don't have alot of money..... hmmm
 
Wasn't there a Fire Emblem on the GBA? Because i might buy a game from both series on the GBA, just so I don't blow all my money. And I read about FFVII Revelant Wings for ds, sounds pretty good, reminds me of Lost Magic though. Anyone know when it comes out?
