Lost Winds

I watched the trailer for this WiiWare game and it looks interesting, but it's 1000 points. Has anyone here actually purchased it and played it? How is it? Are there any reviews on it yet?

There are plenty reviews of it on IGN and Gamespot. They all gave it near 8.0 with the complaint that its near 3-4 hour gameplay is short, but that the game is better than most of the Full Price Wii games, it even did well enough that a sequel is coming out. Just about everyone picked it up, second best to My Life as King it seems.

I've heard it's short, but from what I've played of it so far (which is little) it's worth every penny. Fhq will probably be able to tell you more about it though, I know he has it.

I do, thanks to alee. I'm about two hours in, and the average playthrough is three to five. It's a stunning game that everyone should buy. The wind is controlled by the Wiimote, so you can make gusts, lead fire, and create vortexes. And for only $10, it's great. Toss that in with the sequel that was announced the day after WiiWare premiered, and you've got some great, cheap games.

To you, yes.

have you even tried the game? or even look at videos? info? reviews? anything at all? the game might be addictive even if at first doesn't look like it (defend your castle and final fantasy crystal chronicles my life as a king for example)

Zidart, is it so hard to understand that I don't like some games that you like? I have watched videos. It just looks a little boring to me.

is not that, is the fact that you judge the game as bad before even touching the remote.

I'm not going to spend $10 to try a game. Maybe if Nintendo had demos, I would try it.

well don't you have friends with wii's? and you also have tried other more expensive games before (you tried 20 different wii games remember?) so another one is not going to kill you

But I can't get anything for it if I don't like it. I don't have any other friends with Wii's really...well..none that have played it in a while.

while is true that sometimes you might not end up liking a game/movie/book or whatever is better to try it than never even know if it was great.

and that's too bad i gues you don't do lots of wii parties like i do

I'll hopefully try it out some time. Just not an immediate pick-up for me.

Yeah, none of my friends really have Wii's. The only people I know who have Wii's bought them for their kids who are real young.

It looks insanely boring on videos, but it's much more fun to play.
