Mario Kart Wii receives North American release date

As many of you guys are on Brawl fever right now, a new anticipated game, called Mario Kart Wii, has been on the issue right now. There have been numerous rumors regarding the release date for North America. Many said April, some said June, and a little amount of people said this month. Well for all the people that said that April was the release date, well you guys were right.

Today, Nintendo of America announced that Mario Kart Wii will be released on April 27th, 2008 in North America. Nintendo of America suggested that Mario Kart Wii might arrive after the May debut of Wii Fit, but apparently that is not the case.

"Mario Kart for Wii transforms one of our most popular franchises into a race that every member of the family can enjoy," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of sales and marketing. "Driving work the Wii Wheel could not be more natural, and this is one place where speeding is encouraged."

Mario Kart Wii will be bundled with the Wii Steering Wheel. The total bundle, which includes the game and the steering wheel, will cost $49.99. The game also includes 12 player online races, and many controller options that fit you perfectly.
