Metroid Gets Voice Chat
Nintendo will enable talking in the upcoming first-person shooter.
by Craig Harris
February 9, 2006 - Nintendo today revealed that Metroid Prime Hunters, the Wi-Fi enabled Nintendo DS first-person shooter hitting the system on March 20th, will be the first game in the Nintendo DS library to support voice chatting over the internet.

Players will be able to chat with players via the built-in microphone on the Nintendo DS before and after a match-up. Players can converse with anyone on their friend's list established through Friend Codes by clicking on the Chat icon in the game's lobby system.

Metroid Prime Hunters will support up to four player deathmatches over Nintendo's free Wi-Fi Connection service. We'll have more on the game as we get closer to its release date.

Finally,
Nintendo can be taught, who knew

for a company who has excluded itself mostly from the online gaming market, this is a huge step forward for Nintendo

I think we will see the same things to come with the Revolution as well. Honestly, I personally think Nintendo is using the DS as a test right now. then they will implement other ideas that work into the Revolution. that is my speculation, but you really see Nintendo going all out with the DS.

Now, we can taunt each other while we frag :D

in the Metroid multiplayer I've played so far though...the best strategy is to shoot and run right before you die
they need to get rid of the boost function of the morph ball
