Personally,I hate manuals that come with the game.I find that they're not thorough.

Peace.

Activision and Infinity Ward should be ashamed with the manuel that they gave us with Modern Warfare 2. We paid for it so why should we be required to go online to view the "full manual"? Honestly, the manual that they package leaves way too many questions unaddressed.

Amen to that! :woot

I've found that some manuals just don't cut it, but I still go back to them every now and then for a little piece of detail I may have missed; mainly in RPG's when I have yet to learn the icons for status effects.

I don't really bother looking through them anymore.

last game I bought had less than ten pages and was all in black and white, while the last import game I got had like 30 pages all in color. Just feel so gipped :lol

Well, I like manuals. For one, most of them feature artwork unique to the manual, secondly, games would just feel incomplete without them. However, I can see them not being included anymore seeing as how everything is going digital. I sure am glad I held onto all my old manuals!

This. I love looking at manuals. Especially the Tales manuals.

Manuals should be mandatory in RPGs or games with different battle system, though if your game includes lengthy tutorials (voiced!) then I could look beyond a meager instruction manual.

This. :P
There's really not much to discuss. You're either for it, against it, or don't give a rat's hat about it. :D

Actually no...it's all relevant. For example, if I buy an older game, I want the freaking manual. However, I am not necessarily opposed to new games not including them anymore. Because as was said in the other thread, if it was never there to begin with, it wouldn't be missed.

I don't mind if they get rid of the crappy 5 page long ones, but I love it when games have big, colorful manuals with backstory, info about characters, etc.
