Moving...

as some of you might remember I moved to VA from LA almost exactly a year ago. Now...when my lease expires on the 19th of July...we'll be moving back. got some goals set to try and better my and my families future. I will be going to college...first time...going to take a 2 year networking course. Coming out after MS certifcation I'll make 50-80K a year. I'm a little nervous. depending on in-laws to help out a alot..and never been one to be helped if u know what i mean. I'm going though cuz I'm outta options here. Finances have been tight...and ain't getting better. So this is a way 2 get ahead in the future. Wish me luck...any ??? feel free 2 ask.

I'm fast approaching college/university years, so I kind of have an idea of what you're goin through. As long as networking is what you want to do, then you'll be fine. The way I look at it, the harder I work now to get the grades and credits I need the easier my work will be once I finish school. I try to look at my education as an investment in myself, the more I put into it now, the more it'll pay off later.

you are right on that.... but to keep this in perspective...... you only retain about 10% of what you learn in college (if you are lucky) :)
I can say I have learned a lot, but I have learned less towards the specifics of my degree....
IE I didn't learn much in Account, but I learned a lot more from my general studies classes.

I hope that's not the south you were referring to in the Joke thread. This ain't the south. Anyway...I live in the Shenandoah Valley.

I'm moving in a week, down the street :lol
We wanted to stay close to our old house, there's some great cheap houses around here. ^^
