the other day i went to turn on my psp when all that happened was the little green light went on and shut the off about 20 secondas latter, i thought maybe the battery went bad and just plugged it into the charger and wehn i turned it on it did the same thing. it been sitting there for about 2 days now and im not shure whether i should get it fixed, buy a new battery for it or just throw it away. does anyone know what to do with a psp that does this to get it to work or has this happened to anyone else? plz help me

Maybe you should turn it on now? Or perhaps turn it on then do the quick turnoff and then turn it right back on, or even take out whatever game is in the back of it?

now that you mention it mine did do this when I had it and it usually worked if it just sat around for a few days, i'm not kidding

Heh. I never had that problem with my DS. It even lets me know when the batteries are getting low. ;)

Guys... be helpful :lol

Honestly... I'm not sure... It sounds like a faulty battery. Maybe call Sony and see if it is under warranty... and if they will fix it for free. AND... if you find out from Sony what the problem is... could you please post it up here?

Until SOCOM came out, my PSP was DORMANT... for like 6 months. SOCOM is all I play on it though.

Bv :hat

I would call Sony tech support if you can. If it was mine, I would consider that a malfunction. Also, search the internet (google) for message boards where people have had the same problem.

Buy a New Battery at Wal-Mart and see if that fixes it.  If not, Wal-Mart will take back the opened package.  They take back anything!

But, then again, this post is 2 months old and I am sure you probably fixed it or something by now!
