Neo Geo and TG16 classics coming to PSP?

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
In the newest PSP Update 6.30. You can group your games by folders now (PS1, PSP, or PSP Mini). However two of the folders proudly proclaim "Neo Geo" and "PC Engine". I wonder what is in store..

I only have 3.8 running on my PSP 1000. Are you talking about the PSP 3000 or PSP Go? Or Both?

I'm reading about new price points on both units dropping soon. If this is true that the PSP 3000 being $129 and the Go at $169, we could see a real renewed excitement over Sony's handheld. Maybe something like what you are pointing out here is included in what Sony has up their sleeves.

It would be great to have virtual console on my PSP.

All actually, any PSP can get this update.

Can I see a link on the price drop retro?
I had read it here first, http://www.pspworld.com/sony-psp/accessories/psp-go-price-drops-to-169-usd-psp-3000-to-129-012521.php
Evidently it was a temporary reduction in price which fueled some speculation, gossup, and excitement over the net. Dell has since replaced the normal price points on their site. :( It was a great deal for those who participated. Too bad it was a false alarm? Or was it a too early of a warning sign? :)

Who knows at this point?

I ran across this by searching around for some forum with a little life for the PSP. You seem to be the life for the PSP around here. :lol
Is the PSP basically dead at this point? Or is there too much competition between it and the Go? There is so little that has been announced at this point for this year. There are so many good games that have already been released. Although being just a noob owner, I was disappointed that the Transformers War for Cybertron was not realeased for it. It would be a perfect game for the system.
It really baffles me as to why this system has not done better in the market place after some hands on gaming with this beauty.

False alarm and no PSP is NOT dead. Sony is fully reloaded and coming out with the new campaigns, television commercials, and tons of games at this point. To me, I feel the PSP is going to be supported as long as the PS2.

Also, back on topic. I'm backing this up. According to PS Nation there is an actual poll going on to vote to have TG16 and Neo Geo games brought to the PSN Store in North America!

That would mean I am in the middle of the PSP's lifespan. :)

Back on topic. Why isn't there and where would an actual poll be meaningful to get the TG16 and Neo Geo games in the PSN store?

Mostly because TG16 and NG games have been on the Japanese store for quite some time and it's about time we get a piece of the cake too.
