The games are without question the reason why the Neogeo is the only system I own. I have had my AES for 2 years now, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Recently, I got a CDZ (I use to own a Toploader CD). The Toploader was the first experience of a Neogeo I have ever had besides the arcade of course. I can remember playing with my best friend Alicia (still best friends) on Aero Fighters 2 , and Last Blade 1 for hours or even by myself. This CDZ brings back all those memories.
I hate to say this. But I had more fun then, and I am having more fun now, than I had in 2 years with my Neogeo.
And not just because of the cost factor, because frankly Real Bout 2 or Sengoku would be BETTER on the CDZ than on the Neogeo AES.
1. The Sound- You have to hear the crystal pumping clarity
2. The graphics-You have to see the clear, sharp, popping colors you could never get on an AES, even modded
3. The sweet control pads that will always work best with the CD systems
I am trying not to jump the gun, but when I know that I could trade in my Neogeo AES, the games, controllers, and get those same games, and even more games, and it would be better, it is really tempting.
