Well, it's more of Netflix's doing as they themselves are trying to become a household name. So consoles are naturally some of the first to do it. Unfortunately with the Wii you won't get HD output like the other consoles.
 
It's smart for Netflix to try and reach out to as many consumers as possible. It had amazing success on the 360, bringing millions of new members to Netflix...I can only expect it will do the same on the PS3 and Wii.

This. Regardless of quality, this is a smart move. I'm not going to use it, but those who have Netflix and a Wii will probably get a kick out of it.
