Yeah, it's a reference to pretty much every Capcom Arcade game and the cliche' of every 70's & 80's Animes for a world of tomorrow. Which inspired games like Forgotten Worlds, Strider, Mercs, Mega Man, Captain Commando, etc.
 
Joy thinks I should get Bleep Bloop in reference to a skit from Red Vs. Blue. :lol It's really a funny idea, too.

I do kind of want some kind of reference to Halo.

I was thinking of something simple like "Phoenix S117" or if that's taken, "Phoenix S312" (312 being Noble Six's Spartan number).

Pfft, there can't be x's at the end or beginning. That's usually a sign of MLG wannabe, which I'm definitely not. :p

But yeah, definitely need a Halo reference. I just spent $40 on Halo toys so...I'm pretty sure Halo (obsessed) is something that describes me. :lol
