Next Gen Systems

I'm mostly looking foward to Nintendo Revolution, but to be honest, i'm not very pumped for any of them yet. At least not till I hear more about them. I still have plenty of this gen's consoles left to play.
 
yea... the Nintendo rev is looking sweet... and it will (supposively) have backward compatibility as well :D

I cannot wait!

I like rumors. They are fun to repeat. So I shall repeat one I've heard.

I have heard that Sony only wants to support 2 consoles at a time, so the PS3 is not going to be backwards compatible with the PSOne.
 
I don't think that makes Sony look bad. It just means people who still play PSOne games will have to hold on to their PS2. But at any rate, it's just a rumor.

That's kind of why I like the XBOX so much, and the idea of the XBOX 2. It doesn't have any past, so it can't really whore out it's franchises yet. And it hasn't whored out it's current franchises like Halo. Especially since Bungie isn't like freaking Naughty Dog and Insomniac with their one year game cycles. ::)

I think though that the Revolution will still have the old franchises, but it will have new ways to play them. "We don't need next gen systems, we need a next gen way to play the games," or something like that is what Iwata said. And I think next gen, since the systems will be almost identical as far as graphics go, gameplay is going to be more of an issue, and I think Nintendo will come through.

The new Nintendo. After owning a GCN, Xbox, and PS2, I am convinced that Nintendo is the best company.

Because of the fiasco with the PSP and DS libraries, I'm reserving judgement until I know more.

If Nintendo simply follows it's current gameplan and whores out it's franchises over and over again, I probably won't buy a Revolution.

If Sony whores out the same franchises over and over again (say Onimusha, GTA, Tenchu, the Bond games, Need For Speed, Final Fantasy (that one's a given though)) then I probably won't bother either.

Gaming is starting to get really, really, really boring.

I belive that ATi one day will release a 256 bit 1 gig memory Graphic's board! but thats atleast a year off

But I'm looking foward to the PS3 as it looks it's going to be a great machine that will rock my world.
