Woooow!

Nintendo will release a new version of GameBoy Advance later this year called GameBoy Micro, which has a dimension of 4" wide, 2" tall and 0.7" thick, small enough to fit into a pocket. The LCD screen is smaller than the GBA-SP, but quality is far better than GBA SP, GameBoy Micro also have backlit, adjustable brightness, plus a standard headphone port.

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

I like it.. I really do.

But.. why did they 1 up the SP? and The only problem with it is no screen cover. but then again.. we didn't have one with the 1st gba.

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

It's retro style heaven for me...

I love it because I'm not into this touch screen DS scene.

The Design is classic GameBoyAdvance...<3

Plus giving us the sweeter screen resolution from which the DS provides when it plays GBA games

Plus bringing back the "brightness adjusting" feature, which is very handy to get the games you love Just right to your viewing is priceless (which hasnt been used since classic GameBoy Pocket/Brick days

I'm so buying that! Gunstar Super Heroes+ GB Mirco= Heaven baby!

I love the button layout by far because I perfer GBA's old look then the SP's L/R and Flip top screen

if it's under $100, I'm so going for it

Bottom line, I'm giving this my offical seal of retro-goodness

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

Will it have the features of the psp like music images and movie i mean it looks good but they have to intodue something new besides touch screen i mean that is cool an all (touch screen) but i want my nintendo gb to be able to do other stuff to

It's just a GameBoyAdvance...not a toaster oven bro...PSP is a toaster oven....it makes Pizza Bagels...plays UMDs...then ask "Are you cheating on me?? WHY HAVEN'T YOU CALLED!??? WHO'S NINTENDO!?! IS SHE PRETTIER THEN ME?!?! I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU!!"

GBA Mirco is just what it is an upgraded GBA....I love it because it follows the K-I-S-S Program...."K-eep I-t S-imple, S-tupid" ;) Meaning back to the basics of gaming

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

It also has removable face plates, which lets you customize the look. They had a lot of really cool ones at E3. I don't see the point of getting it since I already have a DS and GBA SP, though.

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

I'm getting one because I need a GBA ^_^ (Gunstar Super Heroes will be out this year...so you can see my intentions ;))

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

its just a re-make of the gba though right? so chances are it won't have the features of a psp because i think if it did nintendo would sell alot more micro's than sony sold psp's

It wont have the features. It is a purely gaming machine. It works because not everyone wants or can afford a PSP. If you just want a system that has tons of games already available and is significantly cheaper than a PSP then this is for you.

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

yah i know but i heard that it has biult in memory in it that allow you to put music on it thas just what i heard

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

No, it doesn't...crazy rumors...*sigh*

*sings*

I'm just a GBA.
Yes, I'm only a GBA!
And I'm sitting here on Nintendo Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the Nintendo city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in at E3 Show,
But I know I'll be a GBA some day!
At least I hope and pray that I will
But today I am still just a display! :(.

Re: Nintendo GameBoy "Mirco"

Depending on what the price is I may get it, even though I already have the DS. Customizing the look of the Gameboy's face is definently what I was looking for. I wouldnt advise sticking it into a pocket since the screen will end up getting abrased since there is no protection. However, people may or will have to invest in screen protectors. The other good thing about the Micro is that itr will support wireless play and maybe online thingies.
