Ok well I got the RED RING of DEATH and i called x-box support

"If in Warranty: Call 1-800-4-my-xbox. They will ship you a box, you will ship it back and they will repair or (more likely,) send you a refurb unit. The total turnaround time can vary depending on your location, the aptitude of the people assisting you, and the moons of Jupiter and their gravitational influence on our Solar System. My personal experience was under 11 business days. Some people's can be a few weeks."

Looks like your out of an xbox for at most a couple weeks.
 
They're gonna send you a brand new one with a new serial number pretty much. That Xbox that comes OUT of the box, only has a 90 day warranty. It roughly takes about 4 to 5 weeks. Sometimes sooner, depending on if they have some easily ready or not.

It won't always be brand new though. It's more likely that they'll resend him a refurbished box.
 
Shouldn't take more than 2 weeks, really. The two month stories are flukes. But, for me, it broke the day I got it back. Better hook up the ol' PS2. :lol

If you really don't want to be xboxless, just go to a rent-a-center. Just rent one and plop your hard-drive in there.
 
OK so I know that its been hella long seince ive been on here and yes i did get the Red Ring of Death and yea I was X-Boxless for like 2 weeks and all I had to do was call 1-800-4-my-xbox and the reallly hard to hear outsource people were kind enought to help me and they sent me a box and I put my x-box in the box and I sent it in and then they sent me a new one and its amazing so thanks for all your help and I will keep you all posted on how it goes
