I saw the BEST Nintendo shirt out there.

It had a picture of Mario on the Front, (small picture normally where a pocket would be on the front of a shirt) and it said "PLayer" right below it :lol

IF I could have bought the shirt, I would have.... what a bummer :lol
good stuff though!

I think I've only seen one person in a video game shirt, and that was this old man at my place of work who wore a Dreamcast shirt. I was like... "Whoah." (yep)
 
I've sometimes seen people wear those shirts with the Atari logo on it, but I don't think some of them know what it means, probably just wear them cos they look pretty trendy.
 
They were probably wearing a shirt of The Ataris, which is a punk rock band. I haven't actually listened to any of their stuff, so I can't tell you if they're any good...
 
I actually wear Nintendo shirts :D

I do wear suits... or dress nicely nearly 80% of the time.... but on the weekends, I break out the Nintendo shirts :lol

I have a shirt with Mario and Luigi on. I see lots of people wearing Atari shirts (not the band) and I saw two kids wearing shirts with a pic of a NES controller with the word "Roots" under it.

-"Sword Play" picture of Link (shirt was free with pre-order of Four Swords at GameStop)
-bright yellow shirt with a small pic of the Super Mario Bros. box from the NES classics series (it was a cool promotional freebie for GameStop employees)
-black shirt with black Nintendo logo on the front and GameStop logo on the sleeve (another promo freebie for GS employees)
-blue shirt with Mario, Yoshi, and Toad
-Duck Hunt shirt
-jacket with the NES Zelda "Olde School"
-shirt with Yoshi. "Give me a free ride."

I also have a few custom made shirts.
-black shirt with "I (Heart) (picture of Boo the ghost)" because I love Boo. :)
-black shirt with picture of Caboose's head. "That guy Tex is really a robot, and you're his boyfriend, so that makes you....a gay robot."
-black shirt with picture of Sarge's head. "Hey Grif, Chupa-thingie! How about that?"

I'm in the middle of doing laundry right now so I might have even more that I can't remember. :D
 
I've seen quite a few, mostle the original NES series shirts, as well as the Know Your Roots shirt (Mai mentioned it). Just today I saw one person wearing a LOZ shirt with Link from the first Zelda (you know, the goofy looking one?), as well as another wearing a Kirby Air Ride shirt, with Kirby on a warpstar with the Sword Power-Up.
 
Wow Mai, that's really cool. I love all the NES shirts, I just find something cool about them. I'm gonna try to collect them in the near future.

www.80stees.com has a lot of them, including other 80's related shirts ;)

Those days were certainly odd times.

Twisted Sister was cool though :lol

um.... Van Halen, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer seem to have made it past that era :lol
BUT Van Halen called it quits 1-2 years ago unfortunately. They'll be back with something again.

I have a pretty cool Toys 'R Us shirt my mom picked up somewhere for me. It was from when Mario Sunshine came out, so there's a small embroidered Mario on it.
 
Cool collection Mai!! I wanna win the 'POW' (from the original Mario Bros.) shirt that you can get by winning the NP contests. I e-mailed them to see if I could buy one but no dice.

I just got a belated shirt from my aunt a couple days ago. It was the Roots Nes controller T-shirt Mai mentioned. I've got a pretty set wardrobe so a lot of people noticed my shirt, and I actually got quite a few compliments from people, which surprised me. Being in grade 12 I assumed I'd get laughed at, which I wouldn't have minded as I felt like a bit of a nerd wearing it, but most people actually thought it was kinda neat. It also made for some good pick up lines, such as "wanna press these buttons" and "you got a friend? I'm multiplayer", both of which I actually used, as well as a couple "joystick" cracks that may not be suitable to say at this time. Some people didn't get the caption right away, which I thought was odd, "Know your Roots" and a giant NES controller seems pretty self explanatory to me, but I can't say I didn't like the attention.

And yes, I did get my buttons pushed :woot
 
I think it's just that some people take issue with the NES being "roots," when several home systems came before it. Atari, CollecoVision, Intellivision, to name a few.

Although I played games on the Atari, I would say that the NES really was my roots, though.
