PLEASE tell me you can help with with Resident Evil 4 for Wii??

I just started playing the game and I have been playing for approximately 4 hours tonight so far and I honestly cannot get past the chainsaw guys in the very beginning. I am getting very frustrated and I almost want to give up on the game. How on Earth am I supposed to beat that part? It seems like they just keep attacking without end and it's extremely tiring to keep dying over and over again. I'm in a bad mood now because I cannot get past this part and I know this is supposed to be a phenomenal game and maybe I'm just REALLY bad but I don't know what to do! HELP!!!

I need to know:

1. How long do I have to keep fighting the villagers before it's over?
2. How do I quickly kill the chainsaw guys (I tried the grenade but it didn't go off in time, and the shotgun takes forever)?
3. Any other tips/advice that will make this part go by quickly because I'm tired of my head getting cut off >:(

PLEASE let me know ASAP because I know I won't be able to go to bed until I beat this part. Thanks!!!
 
OK, so from what I can tell you just got choked out by the mayor and have now left the house. There should only be one chainsaw guy.

Just keep at it with the shotgun. It may seem like a long time but it's the most effective. Don't run or you'll trigger the other zombies. Just stay by the door and keep shooting the chainsaw guy with the shotty. He'll die and leave you a jewel.

As for your first question, you'll encounter many villagers until you move on to the next part of the game. I won't spoil it for you, but the village is a long part of the game.

Oh yeah, try your best to make them stumble by shooting their legs. Once they stumble you can kick them, which in turn can save you ammo. Or let a lot of them pile up and shoot all of them until they are on the floor. Once they are on the floor unload on them with the shotgun.
