PotLuck

I need a bit of help for my class. The "FINAL EXAM" is to bring in a dish for our classes potluck.

Here is the list of what others are bringing

Bean dip + Chips
Brownies
Pasta Salad + M&Ms
Sugar of some sort
Broccoli Cold Salad
Pizza

Im only limited in what the Kroger has (I could go to WalMart, but that is such a long trip). Also, someone is vegetarian....Any suggestions on something I can bring that wont require cooking/or could pick up in the section where they prepare foods in the grocery store?

Fried Wonton Dumplings!

Oh wait, THAT kind of potluck....sorry, I'm a sucker for Korean and Chinese food :lol

Here, you wanna make a party favorite? GET A CHEESE PLATTER! You'll be a smash hit lad! The variety platters with pepperoni's, cheeses, and crackers. Nobody can say that doesn't rock!

You said pizza, but you could do a vegetarian pizza that's a little different. You buy a pre made crust, some cream cheese, shredded cheddar, salsa, tomatoes, and anything else you want {olives, red/green peppers, onions, etc}. Just spread the cream cheese on the crust like pizza sauce and then go from there. It's pretty awesome!

"Spaghetti & Pesto Sauce",It can't miss,especially for the "Veggy".

Trust Kaz! :lol

How do you make a fruit salad? Can it be bought? If not, I can spend up to 20 dollars

If all fails, Ill just get a shrimp tray, at least the vegetarian said they'll eat shrimp.

Yes.
You can buy it already prepared, sometimes it's cheaper.(the operative word being: "Sometimes").On the other hand,if you prepare it yourself, your guests are more likely to appreciate it more, because you personally, took the effort to buy and slice it up yourself.

What's cool about "Fruit Salad" is it allows you to be more creative due to the fact that God was really mac'n it hard we he blessed us with quite a variety of fruits, vegetables, etc.,but unfortunately,it's us Humans, that are responsible for it's price. :lol

If it were me,I would go with apples, melons, cherries, pineapple, maybe oranges.I should tell you,in case you haven't checked my "Profile",I reside in Canada,so I'm not sure as to the price of American fruit(I assume, that from your "Profile" you live in "Virginia") at the present time. The "Canadian" members might slam me for this, but it's my opinion that fruit here sucks, and is way too expensive,it certainly wouldn't kill the "Powers That Be" to get us some decent sized "Red Potatoes".

I can see you getting some decent choices of fruit with 20 bones, but as we all know in this "Forum",this is the "Internet",so I'm quite certain you can find a plethora of info.

Hope this helps Boss!

God Bless,

Yeah you can buy premade fruit salad, but it's really not that hard to make, and you can control how fresh the stuff is. It's just a bunch of fruit chopped up in a bowl. :lol Grapes, berries, melon chunks, apple slices, etc.

Oh! man,

Please tell me I was correct when I assumed that you were from Richmond,Virginia, not British Columbia!!

This is just wonderful.Well, if you hear on the TV or the Web about a murder in lower East Canada, there's a strong chance it will be me.I would just like to say in advance, that is was fun being a member, and Godspeed. :) :hh
