Proper game-name Pronunciation, a serious issue in classic gaming society

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
Reason why in the NES and SNES thread. Since it's easier.

This thread is dedicated to all the morons who, everyone here, speaks with outside of the forum.

You ever have a friend or loved one, discuss of a great classic video game and they don't have any idea what they are talking about?

Note: Yes I have endured these horrible horrors for which should not happen to you, my friends of EGA!

Prime Examples for what I'm talking about.

"DUDE! DONKEY KONG 3 WAS THE BOMB!"

Okay, are you talking about DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 3 on Super Nintendo or DONKEY KONG 3 on the original Nintendo?

What am I focusing here? I'm focusing on the fact, you must waste 5 minutes of your life, trying to find out, WHICH DONKEY KONG your friend or loved one is talking of, before you rip his head off in frustration.

More examples:

THE MARIO WITH YOSHI! YEAH! GREAT GAME! (this usually takes 3 minutes to translate for any of us sadly.)

YEAH! I HAD MARIO ON PLAYSTATION! REMEMBER WHEN YOU GOT TO THE TOP OF THE CASTLE AND YOU FOUND THAT GREEN DINOSAUR? (You will have to argue with this braindead mess for a good 4 minutes)

Remember boys and girls! AVOID STUPID PEOPLE AT ALL COST!! They are contagious and will lead to drooling, pooping of the pants, and proclaiming wild statements such as: "OMDOOD Final Fantasy on SEGA > ANYTHING" and such!

It will help you in the long run! BE SAFE! BE NOT AFRAID! SAY, "NO TO FALSE HISTORICAL or FAKE CHILDHOOD MEMORY EVENTS!"

This has been a public service announcement of EGA. Thank you and God Bless! Mario 10:81

One that has always bothered me is that when people talk about a Tony Hawk game, they just say "Tony Hawk Pro Skater," Instead of "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater."
