Ragnarok Online 2: Steam!

I have a question about steam..
I already have the RO2 client on my desktop.. but I want to access it on steam..
do I need to re-download the client so that i'll go to my steam folder

There are some games that can be activated on steam if you own a non-steam version. I do not know if RO2 is one of them.

It looks like RO2 is a free to play game on steam. Just go here http://store.steampowered.com/app/231060/?snr=1_7_7_151_150_1 and download it to your computer if you want to run it with the steam client.

but the thing is.. I downloaded my client on a non-official release (alternative download)
coz I can't see the website and the app on steam :[

yes apparently I cannot :/
and Im wondering if I can use VPN / IP changer.. but does it work on Steam? :<
