RE4 - Wii Edition help.

i just bought this game, and i love it. but the guy in the ign review said it was GC controller compatible, and idk how to do it. any help? i just wanna try it with the gamecube version to see if it works. if u know how to do it, then PLEASE HELP!

yea, u can also do it with super smash bros brawl

i still cant figure it out. although the wii control is far superior, its nice to know the gc funcionality is there. makes it seem like more of a comeplete package
 
Did you check the instruction manual? You know, the one that is official and comes with the game? If it is even possible to use the GC controller with RE4 Wii edition it would probably have it in the manual. If it's not in the manual then it's probably not possible and the IGN guy doesn't know what he's talking about.

i looked before i made this thread, and the classic controller or gc controller arent in there.
 
To enable the 'Cube or Wavebird controller you have to toggle the control set up in-game. Boot up the disc using the wii-mote and nunchuk. At the menu screen unplug the nunchuk from the wii-mote and press start on GC controller. ENJOY! ;)

EDIT - dude, that is so awesome, it works, thank you so much man, and welcome to the forums (thats a tad late, but you seem a bit new :))

also, i would like to add for anyone who was trying to figure it out, you dont have to be at the main menu for it to work, it can be done at anytime, in game or not.

EDIT 2 - the strange thing is............i emailed capcom, and they said the game is incompatible with the gamecube controller...................hm.........
